Carrie Underwood joins 2013 Grammy Awards performers

Carrie Underwood has been added to the list of performers for the 2013 Grammy Awards.

The country singer and former American Idol winner confirmed her appearance via Twitter on Wednesday night (January 16).

"I am so excited to be performing on @TheGRAMMYs on Feb 10, on @CBSTweet ! #TheWorldIsListening," wrote Underwood.

She joins previously-confirmed acts Rihanna, Taylor Swift, The Black Keys, fun. and Mumford & Sons.

Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, fun., and Kanye West are among those leading the nominations for this year's awards with six nods each.

Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, Pink, Alabama Shakes, Ed Sheeran and Swift are also up for major prizes at this year's ceremony, which will once again be hosted by LL Cool J.
