The special performance is to air as part of CBS's Super Bowl Pre-Game show, which will also feature Alicia Keys singing the US national anthem.

Beyoncé will be this year's half-time performer at Super Bowl XLVII live from New Orleans, Louisiana.

The 'Love on Top' singer stressed during a press conference on Thursday (January 31) that she will be singing live, following a controversial lip-synched song at US President Barack Obama's inauguration.

She also remained coy in the press conference when asked if her husband Jay-Z or Destiny's Child will be making an appearance in her set.

CBS airs Super Bowl XLVII live on Sunday.
