It had been rumoured earlier today that Timberlake had signed up to make his UK live comeback at the ceremony at London's O2 Arena on February 20.
It marks the first time Timberlake will have performed in the UK since his 'FutureSex/LoveShow' tour in 2007. He has previously performed at the awards in 2004, where he played a medley of hits from his debut album Justified as well as famously duetting with Kylie Minogue.
He has won three Brit Awards including 'Best International Album' in 2004 and 'Best International Male' in 2004 and 2007.
Brits Chairman David Joseph said: "Justin is an exceptional artist with global appeal and unrivalled successes. We are thrilled to add him to a stellar lineup that will celebrate an amazing year of music and make this one of the strongest Brit live shows to date."
Timberlake is expected to perform his new single 'Suit & Tie' but it is not yet known if Jay-Z will join him on stage.
Timberlake joins Robbie Williams, One Direction, Ben Howard and Emeli Sandé in the lineup of performers at the ceremony and Beyoncé is also tipped to perform.
The 'SexyBack' singer has also been confirmed to perform at the Grammy Awards on February 10. He will make his live comeback this weekend at a Super Bowl benefit show in New Orleans.
His new album The 20/20 Experience will be released in the UK on March 18 and a day later in the US.
