Mariah Carey to debut new single 'Almost Home' this month

Mariah Carey will premiere her new single later this month.

The singer will release new cut 'Almost Home' on February 19 as the lead single from Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful soundtrack.



The track will be distributed through Carey's record label Def Jam as the official first single to help promote the film, reports USA Today.

"It's a feel-good record; it gives you the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love," she previously said of the track.

An accompanying music video will be directed by acclaimed photographer and director David LaChapelle.

Meanwhile, Carey - who currently serves as a judge on American Idol - is preparing to release her new studio album in the spring.

Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful stars James Franco and Michelle Williams and will be in cinemas from March 8.
