Megadeth announce UK tour, 14th album 'Super Collider'

By
Megadeth's Dave Mustaine
Megadeth have announced details of their 14th studio album and supporting UK tour.

The metal giants release Super Collider via Universal Music Enterprises in June and play a series of shows in the same month.

Tickets for the tour dates go on sale this Friday, February 15 at 9am and are priced at £27.50 and £28.50 for London.

Frontman Dave Mustaine said: "It was a real thrill for us to learn there was an opportunity to join Universal. It seems like every time you see a great band or music video, it comes from a Universal label.

"Being with Universal is by far the most exciting and prestigious home for Megadeth ever! We are electrified with what the future holds and the possibilities such a powerhouse like Universal will bring for us all."

He added: "We have worked with some great people over the years, and it is amazing to see so many of them on the Universal team for our new record, Super Collider.

"If Megadeth being here isn't satiating enough, having Tradecraft as my own label is going to be really amazing for metal bands around the world."

Mustaine continued: "[Drummer] Shawn [Drover], [guitarist] Chris [Broderick] and [bassist] Dave [Ellefson], have all been feverishly contributing some great music and I believe we are doing our best work ever together in the studio right now!"

The full Megadeth tour dates are as follows:
  • June 3 - O2 Academy, Newcastle
  • June 4 - O2 Academy, Glasgow
  • June 5 - Manchester Academy
  • June 6? - O2 Academy Brixton
