Amelia Lily to support Girls Aloud UK arena tour

The support act for Girls Aloud's UK tour has been announced.

Former X Factor finalist Amelia Lily has confirmed that she will support the group's arena tour, which starts later this month.

Lily revealed on her official Twitter page: "Ahhhh SO EXCITED TO BE OPENING FOR @GirlsAloud ON THEIR TOURRRR!! Who's coming?!"

The singer finished third place on the 2011 series of The X Factor and has since released two hit singles 'You Bring Me Joy' and 'Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)'.

Meanwhile, Girls Aloud have warned fans of an "emotional" section during their show, about which Nadine Coyle admitted: "We all stood and cried our eyes out during it today!"

The group's tour kicks off in Newcastle on February 21 and reaches London's O2 Arena for three dates on March 1.
