The Roots will be serving as the house band for the March 7 show, which will raise money for music education.

Elvis Costello, D'Angelo, Up All Night's Maya Rudolph, Talib Kweli, Booker T Jones, the Blind Boys of Alabama and jazz singer Madeleine Peyroux are slated to perform their favourite Prince tracks at the event.
Actress Sandra Bernhard and Amos Lee are also on the bill, with more acts expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Church Street School of Music, Grammy in the Schools, Young Audiences New York, Music Unites and the Pinwheel Project, among other charities.

Prince has received a variety of honors over the course of his career, including seven Grammy Awards and an Academy Award.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
