Nick Lachey announced the 2.0 project on Wednesday (February 20), expressing excitement for 98 Degrees fans to hear their new music.

"We are really excited to bring our fans new music and get out on the road," Lachey said, adding: "This is a long time coming."

The new album will be coming out just a few weeks before 98 Degrees, New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men kick off their 'Package' tour in late May.

98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons commented earlier this week that his group's reunion has felt very "natural" thus far.

"We're all friendly. We haven't kept in touch like we should have, but when we get together, it's like old times," Timmins declared.

The group has sold more than 10 million albums in the last 17 years.
