Emeli Sandé to start work on new album following Brits 2013 wins

Emeli Sandé has confirmed plans to start work on her second studio album after winning two Brit Awards last night (February 20).

The singer won 'British Female' and 'British Album' for her debut Our Version of Events at the ceremony, but said she's ready to work on a new project.

"It's been such a long time since I wrote the first album so now I just feel like there's a whole new me to get out there," Sandé told Capital FM.

The star added that she was thrilled to close the Brit Awards 2013, especially after walking away with a pair of statues.

"I felt really happy, after winning the award and getting to sing your own song - I just felt like 'wow'. This year has been incredible," she said.

"I felt so nervous beforehand, but after the whole night being incredible I just felt wonderful."

Emeli Sandé, Justin Timberlake and Ben Howard have all seen iTunes sales spikes following their performances at last night's show.
