Tickets for Barbra Streisand's first UK gig in 13 years sold out in 20 minutes - despite costing upwards of £100.

Seats at the O2 arena, formerly Millennium Dome, were priced between £100 and £500 but were snapped up after going on sale at 9am on Friday.

The singer has now announced a second concert, on July 22, four days after the first, at the London venue, as part of her European tour.

The tickets quickly appeared on eBay, some advertised at £2,499 per pair. One seller stated: "Tickets for this show are like gold dust."

Streisand said she was looking forward to the tour: "When you get older it is like trying to do everything you have missed in your life and - except for England - I have never performed in Europe. I love England, I am very at home there, I must have lived there before in a former life."
