Justin Bieber incurred a £300,000 fine after showing up late and causing his gig to overrun at London's O2 Arena last night (March 4).
Bieber, who arrived onto the stage nearly two hours later than advertised, was billed £10,000 per minute by Greenwich Council for exceeding a curfew on live music.
A source at the O2 Arena told Digital Spy that the noise ban is enforced at 11pm, which meant that Bieber's set - which finally ended at 11.30pm - led to a total fine of £300,000.
The 19-year-old popstar, who described his birthday held last week in London as his "worst" ever, is said to have been booed by the crowd at last night's performance for his 'Believe' tour. His set was due to begin at 8.30pm but finally started at 10.20pm.
Young fans were forced to leave the venue before his arrival in order to catch trains, causing widespread outrage from parents.
Earlier today, Bieber apologised for the debacle, saying that there was "no excuse" and citing "technical issues" for the delay.
