The 'What's My Name' singer kicked-off the 27-date tour in New York, playing to a sold-out audience at the First Niagra Centre, Buffalo on Friday (March 8).

Rihanna kicks off world tour in New York
The Daily Mail reports that she opened the show by paying tribute to the crowd.
"You guys are all rock stars. There is only one first show, you all have a special place in my heart," she said.

The Bajan singer performed a set of some of her biggest hits, including 'Talk That Talk', 'Rude Boy', 'Only Girl (In the World)' and 'Don't Stop the Music'.
Among the outfits the 25-year-old donned were a neon superhero-style ensemble and a sheer mini-dress with white thigh-high boots.
Rihanna's 'Diamonds' tour comes to the UK in June, opening at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
