Serbian singer Marija Serifovic has won the Eurovision Song Contest as the UK, at 22nd, came second from last.
Her song 'Molitva' beat Ukrainian cross-dresser Verka Serdyuchka, who came second, with Russia third, Turkey fourth and Bulgaria fifth.
Scooch, representing Britain, scored just 19 points with 'Flying the Flag', earning joint second-to-last place along with France. At the bottom, with five points, was Irish folk act Dervish.
Caroline Barnes, from the UK act, commented: "To be honest, this experience has been one in a million. But I have to say I laughed so much I cried at the voting.
"I'm not gutted. I don't want to say it was expected, but you know what Eurovision is like."
Serifovic said: "I am so proud. All my success is made by singing."
