James Blunt is trying to regain his royalties from debut album Back To Bedlam.
The singer had previously had his income from the LP suspended pending an investigation into accusations by his producer that he had not been properly credited.
Lukas Burton alleged that Blunt's original tracks for the album were "crude, occasionally laughably direct and betrayed his relative lack of musicianship", and claimed that he (Burton) had to change lyrics before the release of the record.
Blunt has now issued a High Court summons as he tries to win back his right to earn royalties.
