The track stormed the UK iTunes chart earlier this week, peaking at number three, but has since fallen down the digital store's daily tally.

The previous highest-charting entry from a Voice UK alumnus was Tyler James's 'Single Tear', which reached number 28 last October.

Last year's Voice UK champion Leanne Mitchell peaked at number 45 with her winning rendition Whitney Houston's 'Run To You' last summer.

McFall - who is coached by will.i.am on the BBC One singing contest - will return this Saturday (June 15) for the live semi finals.
