Bruno Mars for Super Bowl 2014 half-time show?

Bruno Mars will reportedly perform during the half-time show at next year's Super Bowl.

The 'Treasure' singer is tipped to follow in the footsteps of Beyoncé and Madonna and will take to the stage at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on February 2, 2014.

According to the Los Angeles Times, an announcement about Mars's appearance could be made as early as Sunday (September 8).

Mars has enjoyed international success since releasing his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans in 2010. He released Unorthodox Jukebox as a follow-up last December.

Unorthodox Jukebox gave the star his first US number one album, while both of his records have topped the charts in the UK.

Meanwhile, he has scored four number one singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 and three chart toppers on the UK Top 40.

He recently took home two trophies at this year's MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn. He won 'Best Male Video' for 'Locked Out of Heaven' and 'Best Choreography' for 'Treasure'.
