Martine McCutcheon joins Don Black Songbook UK tour

Martine McCutcheon has been announced as a special guest on Don Black's 'Songbook' tour.

The singer and actress joins the UK tour in March and April this year, which celebrates the work of the British lyricist by performing unique interpretations of his songs including 'Diamonds Are Forever' and 'Born Free'.

"I am so thrilled to be working with Don. I have always loved singing his songs and for the man himself to ask me to perform them is such an honour," McCutcheon said.

Don Black added: "What a great singer, what a great performer. I'm thrilled to have Martine on board."

The UK tour - which also includes performances by Gary Wilmot - celebrates Black's 50 years in the entertainment business, which saw him inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2007.

Tickets, priced between £24.50 and £36.50, are on sale now.

Meanwhile, McCutcheon is currently working on an album due for release this year and also will be launching a regular entertainment strand on ITV's This Morning.

March 28 - Malven Theatre
March 29 - Cardiff, St David's Hall
March 31 - Bournemouth Pavilion
April 2 - Nottingham, Royal Concert Hall
April 3 - Birmingham, Symphony Hall
April 4 - Leeds, Town Hall
April 6 - Liverpool. Philharmonic Hall
April 8 - Manchester, Opera House
