Curated by photographer Lawrence Watson, Chasing The Sun: Oasis 1993 - 1997 will feature iconic photographs, artefacts and memorabilia from the band's career.

Visitors will also have the chance to view previously unseen images of the group, as well as rarely seen early audio-visual content and instruments used on the early albums.

The exhibition's opening date marks the 20th anniversary of Oasis's debut single 'Supersonic' and comes ahead of the previously announced reissue of their first three albums.

The group's debut album Definitely Maybe will be re-released on May 19, followed by (What's The Story) Morning Glory? (1995) and Be Here Now (1997).

Liam Gallagher has urged fans to boycott the reissue, tweeting: "THE OASIS YEARS THEY FORGOT TO MENTION BONEHEAD USED TO STICK FIG ROLLS UP HIS ARSE HA HA X."

He added: "HOW CAN YOU REMASTER SOMETHING THAT'S ALREADY [BEEN] MASTERED. DONT BUY INTO IT. LET IT BE."
