Lana Del Rey performs new single 'West Coast' a capella - watch

By
Lana Del Rey performed excerpts of her new single 'West Coast' during her concert in Las Vegas on Friday (April 11).

The singer performed parts of the song a capella during her first show of 2014 at The Chelsea.

She debated with her band whether they should preview the song for fans, before opting to sing a section of the song unaccompanied.

Lyrics to the song include: "Down on the West Coast, they got a saying; 'If you're not drinking then you're not playing', but you put the music, you put the music in you."

'West Coast' is set to premiere during Fearne Cotton's BBC Radio 1 show on Monday morning (April 14).

The track will serve as the lead single from Del Rey's second studio album Ultraviolence, which is expected to be released in the coming months.

The singer kicked off her Ultaviolence campaign recently with a series of billboards in the US.
