The Verve have announced they are reforming for an arena tour and to record an album.
The band split up in 1999 and has recently denied rumours they would reunite.
However, original members Richard Ashcroft, Simon Jones and Pete Salisbury have now confirmed they have begun recording together.
They told BBC 6 Music they would return to the studio after the summer before playing an arena tour in November. Tickets will go on sale on July 6.
Ashcroft recently described the chances of them reforming: "You're more likely to get all four Beatles on stage."
