Rod Stewart has had 10 stitches after hurting his leg when he fell on a slippery stage during a gig.
The rocker slipped on a step as he walked out at the City of Manchester Stadium on Thursday.
He completed the show regardless, but on Friday went to see a doctor - and had to miss the 02 Silver Clef Awards where he was due to pick up an Icon award.
His spokeswoman said: "Rod Stewart was unable to attend the Nordoff-Robbins Silver Clef lunch to receive his Icon award after cutting his leg on a wet, slippery metal step while making his entrance on stage last night at the City of Manchester Stadium.
"He performed the entire show in the rain, refusing any medical treatment, and today received 10 stitches to the wound."
Gordon Ramsay, who was meant to be presenting the award, read a statement from the singer. He said: "Of course an undeniable bonus is getting something that Elton John ain't got."
