Metcalfe hopes to launch music career

The actor explained that he has been writing songs and practising his guitar skills in recent months. He hopes to be signed as a solo artist.
"I've just started writing and trying to develop my sound a little bit, but it will be as a solo artist," Jesse told People.com. "I sing and play guitar."
Metcalfe played gardener John Rowland on the hit US show and has also starred in the movie John Tucker Must Die.
