Gypsy punks Gogol Bordello have chosen to abandon their slot at Scotland's T in the Park festival for the chance to play with Madonna at Live Earth London.
The New York outfit released a statement on their official website, explaining that band members Eugene Hutz and Sergey Ryabstev have been requested by Madonna to appear on stage during her set this weekend.
Gogol Bordello apologised to fans who were planning to see them at the festival, saying that they "value their support" and that they would make up for the cancellation.
Madonna is a thought to be a big fan of the band after being spotted at one of their London gigs, while she is also known to be working with Hutz on a new film.
