Hook blames bandmates for New Order split

Peter Hook has blamed his former New Order bandmates for the ‘Blue Monday’ group’s split.
The 51-year-old bassist insisted that the Manchester electronic group disbanded in May because frontman Bernard Sumner and percussionist Stephen Morris lacked the willpower to drive their music forward.
He told the NME: "We've decided not to work together anymore. It's been on-off-on-off for a while and last time we just went our own separate ways. It doesn't really matter. I work a lot and the other two don't, so people always ask me what's going on with New Order.
"I always lie and say it's fine. They didn't offer any solutions. So when people ask me I can confidently say that Bernard and I aren't going to be working together anymore."
