Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe has promised that people will be "surprised" by his musical abilities.
The actor, who announced his plans to launch a music career last month, performed a set of his own songs at the opening of a new music venue in the Bahamas at the weekend.
"I think a lot of people will be surprised to learn that I actually have talent," Jesse told People magazine. "I love playing to an audience. It's really gratifying."
Metcalfe, best known for his role as gardener John Rowland on the hit US show, is planning to release debut album Darklight later this year.
