Lee Hazelwood, the writer of 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin'', has died at the age of 77
The singer songwriter, who contributed to the Cowboy Psychdalia music scene of the late 1960s, passed away in his Las Vegas home on Saturday night, following a fight with renal cancer.
Hazelwood, who served with the US army in the Korean War, worked as a disc jockey before achieving fame as a performer and songwriter.
