Enter Shikari and My Chemical Romance lead the nominations for this year's Kerrang! awards - up for four categories each.
Nominations in eight categories were announced at the magazine's Day of Rock event at Virgin Megastores in London on Thursday.
Both acts are up in Best Single and Best Album categories while British rave-metallers Enter Shikari also compete for Best Live Band and Best British Band.
My Chemical Romance, who play US emo-rock, will battle if out for Best Video and Best International Band, after 387,667 readers' votes were counted.
Rou, Shikari's frontman, commented: "It’s great to be nominated again, thanks to everyone that voted for us!"
And My Chemical Romance said in a statement: "It’s been an amazing, crazy adventure being in this band for six years. The United Kingdom has always been a second home for us and you have all done more than make us feel welcome."
