Published Thursday, Aug 16 2007, 12:02 BST | By Kimberley Dadds
A new stage has been announced for Bestival just three weeks before it starts, which will showcase new acts and be hosted by the BBC.
One thousand people will be able to fit into the venue called the BBC Introducing... tent, which was seen at Glastonbury Festival earlier this year.
New music will come from the likes of The Wombats, Foals, Peggy Sue and the Pirates and Jack Penate.
Founder of the event, Rob da Bank said: "I'm really pleased the BBC Introducing... stage is coming to Bestival! It's a really great platform for up and coming acts and totally reflects mine and Bestival's love of new and underground music that might well pop up in the charts in a few months."
Bestival will take place at Robin Hill Country Park in the Isle of Wight from September 7 to 9.
