Grohl storms Snow Patrol's V Fest set
Published Monday, Aug 20 2007, 00:19 BST | By Dave West
Dave Grohl dropped in on Snow Patrol's set at the V Festival in Staffordshire.
It came after frontman Gary Lightbody dedicated single 'Chasing Cars' to the Foo Fighters singer and ex-Nirvana drummer.
Lightbody told the crowd his idea was "not because I want hung and kiss him, but that would be nice, but 14 years ago we started writing songs because of Nirvana, so let's hear it for Dave Gohl."
Minutes later Grohl emerged from backstage and gave Lightbody the unexpected hug and kiss. He commented: "That doesn't happen everyday".
