Happy Mondays frontman Sean Ryder used an autocue during his band's V Festival performance on Saturday.
Ryder has confessed that he struggles to remember the words to any of his songs when he performs now and requires an autocue to jog his memory.
The rocker told The Sun: "Yeah, I forget the words. I need a bit of help." Explaining that his well documented history of drug taking was more than likely to blame for his memory lapses, he added: "Is it any surprise after all the s**t I've done?"
Manchester's legendary baggy rockers were moved on to a larger stage at the festival last week, filling in for Amy Winehouse after she was forced to pull out due to ill health.
