The hip-hop star performed at Westminster Central Hall to promote his new album Graduation, with staff wearing gowns and mortar boards to get into the spirit.
He took the opportunity to comment on his rivalry with fellow rapper 50 Cent, who is due to release his album on the same day as West in the US.
Kanye, who was backed by an all-female string section, backing vocalists, keyboardist and DJ, also paid tribute to Jay-Z by dedicating his new song 'Big Brother' to the rap star.
The 'Gold Digger' singer is currently at number one in the UK singles chart with his song 'Stronger'.
