The Mancunian rocker has released a statement admitting that his recent tour of LA and New York could be his last.
The singer said: "The desire is to go out with some great memories for everyone as who knows what the future will bring."
The former Smiths front man has also ended speculation about the possibility of a reunion with his old band mates.
A report in NME claims that the singer turned down £40 million to play 50 shows over the next two years with the '80s indie legends.
