The Killers have been working with Velvet Underground legend Lou Reed on their new B-sides and rarities album.
Singer Brandon Flowers has revealed that he has recorded a duet with Reed on the group's new track 'Tranquilize'.
He told NME: "We were thrilled with being able to work with Lou Reed. The song was calling for a duet and his voice was just right. The sentiment of the song is very him.
He added: "There's a desperation to it. It's one of our more depressing songs, but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. It's a song that really should've been on Sam's Town."
The US rockers revealed last week that they would be releasing a compilation of their rare material, and Flowers has claimed that the band were inspired by two Manchester groups into releasing the record.
He said: "I'm a big fan of 'The Masterplan' by Oasis and 'Hatful of Hollow' by The Smiths. It's for our fans who want the whole collection in one package."
