Raconteurs reveal drug-inspired album

White Stripes singer Jack White has implied that The Raconteurs' second album has been helped by the group taking drugs.
The singer has written on the group's MySpace revealing the progress the band are making on the follow up to their 2006 debut Broken Boy Soldiers.
Written in the style of a conversation between White and bandmate Brendan Benson, the star says: "The 'teurs have a lot of new songs in the works people, the writing and structure of them has dissipated and reinvigorated and many times over since we came home from out last shows."
Discussing the sessions, Benson asks White: "Is that why the recording sessions were 'drug fuelled', Jack?"
Benson adds: "Well, if you consider acidophilus powder a drug, then yes the tank is full of fuel!"
White then responds: "If I was to ever take a drug for pleasure, I would want that drug to be aspirin for the headaches I get from second hand acidphilus powder and flax seed smoke."
