Franz reveal first 2007 UK festival show

Franz Ferdinand have revealed that their first UK festival appearance of 2007 will be at Loopallu in Scotland.

The 'Take Me Out' rockers will join the likes The Saw Doctors, The Bees and Pull Tiger Tail at the weekend-long event which in based in the town of Ullapool.

The Scottish stars will headline the second night of the festival, which takes place on September 21 and 22.

The group are currently recording their third album in Glasgow, the follow up to their number one record from 2005 You Could Have It So Much Better.

The band previewed tracks from their new album during a secret gig at the Edinburgh Film Festival earlier in the month.
