Rapper Lil' Wayne is being sued by a fan who claims she was crushed at one of his gigs.

Tyrique Layne, 18, says she was trampled by the crowd and left unconscious when the artist threw a large amount of cash from the stage at Morgan State University, Maryland.

She has suffered memory loss and bad headaches since the show last October, she claims in legal papers, and is seeking $1m (£500,000) in damages.

Layne's action is against Lil' Wayne, real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, the record company that he runs, Cash Money Records, and tour operator Young Money Touring.

The rapper was opening for Busta Rhymes at the concert. At the time reports said three fans were injured.
