The track was officially premiered on New York station Z-100's site last night after being leaked to TMZ.com and Perezhilton.com.
Spears announced the song with the words: "It's Britney, b**ch" and it ended with producer Nate ''Danjahandz'' Hills saying: "Bet you didn't see this coming."
The up-tempo number is part of the star's fifth studio album, expected to be released next month.
It was recently revealed that singer-songwriter Ne-Yo has prepared two tracks for the LP, the first containing new material since 2003's Into The Zone.
Britney is rumoured to be cementing her comeback with a "shocking" performance of 'Gimme More' at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9.
