Scissor Sisters star praises late rocker Bolan

The 'Kiss You Off' singer insisted that Bolan, who died in a car crash in September 1977, helped to make androgyny more acceptable to the population at large.
She told the Radio Times: "Rock 'n' roll was very male at that time and for someone like Marc to take women's clothing and sex himself up to such a degree was a two-fingered salute to that traditional idea of masculinity. It was experimentation with music and fashion and every aspect of the self."
