The group were responding to allegations that Archer had romanced Lost In Translation actress Scarlett Johnansson earlier in the year.
Archer told WENN: "It was a total lie. When I rang them up to tell them they ran another story saying I was a fantasist and had made the whole thing up. The w*****s!"
The 'Cash Machine' rocker explained that even his friends have begun to believe the tales that they read in the red tops about his love life.
The singer told NME: "I actually had friends phoning me up saying, 'How come you haven't told me?' They actually believed it!"
Talking about the origins of the story, he added: "I think it all stemmed from our London show on December 19 and a mate of mine told me she was in town for a BAFTA thing, so jokingly we were going, 'Let's get her down to the show!' As if. And it all kicked off from that."
