Manics plan Christmas single
Published Friday, Sep 7 2007, 09:55 BST | By Dave West

The band will again set out on their regular festive tour, from Aberdeen on December 2 to Brighton on December 14, but are also hoping to go one better.
James Dean Bradfield told BBC 6 Music: "I think we've got a bit more of a love of life and sense of humour than people realise.
"So a Christmas tour for us is always really cool. The one thing we are thinking about doing is trying to write a Christmas song, because we regard that as a great, great tradition - Christmas singles are just really cool."
He added that it could be released as a paid-for download or a free MP3.
"I'm not sure what we would do with it. We have actually started making in-roads into it - and it's not something we should be embarrassed about. I think it's a fine British tradition that should be carried on."
