50 Cent has pulled a series of European tour dates following his defeat in the album chart battle to fellow rapper Kanye West.
The 'In Da Club' singer only reached the number two spot in the UK album chart, losing out to Kanye West's Graduation record, despite earlier claiming that he was so confident he would reach the top spot that he would retire from music if he didn't beat West.
The hip-hop star was scheduled to play at the MOBO and Vodafone Live Music Awards but has cancelled both appearances, plus a date at MTV in Germany.
A spokesperson for the musician told MTV: "50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last minute, unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European promotion trip from September 18-25."
