Iggy Pop to be given lifetime award

Iggy Pop has been offered the honour of receiving a lifetime achievement in music gong at this week's Vodafone Live Music Awards.
The punk icon has been asked to attend the awards ceremony on Wednesday night, joining other stars that have previously received the accolade in memory of Queen's Freddie Mercury, including The Who last year.
Other acts in the running for awards at the show include Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash and KT Tunstall who are competing for Best Live Female.
Meanwhile Mark Ronson, Jamie T, Mika and James Morrison are up for Best Live Male.
