Cheryl Cole slams solo rumours
Published Friday, Sep 21 2007, 16:06 BST | By Kimberley Dadds

The Girls Aloud singer was outraged when songwriter Alison Clarkson, also known as Betty Boo, gave a radio interview claiming that Cole had asked her to write a song just for her.
During the radio show Clarkson revealed: "I’ve been asked to write for Cheryl Tweedy (Cole) because she’s gonna start on her own, I think, because she asked for me. We’ll see what happens."
But Cole, who is married to footballer Ashley, rubbished the reports and told The Sun: "We’re still finishing the new album, which I have to say is our best yet. I’m not sure why anyone would think I would want to work on a solo album now.
"It’s sad that people have to say these things to get a little bit of publicity off the back of us."
