Babyshambles star Adam Ficek has vowed that the band will never cancel another gig.
The drummer admitted the group had let fans down in the past but said they were now taking their responsibilities seriously.
He told Teletext: "It's a statement of confidence, we've let people down by cancelling gigs before. This is us saying that those days are over, that we know we can't muck about any more."
The band are due to begin an arena tour in the winter which will see them play their biggest shows ever.
Ficek added that singer Pete Doherty’s ongoing drug use had made it difficult to pen new tracks, saying: “Peter can take care of business on drugs, but it's easier when he isn't. His arrests and the court cases have made it hard for us to find time to write as a band. We're planning the next album, and it'll be the first one where we've had time to properly rehearse songs."
