50 Cent has beaten rival rapper Kanye West by entering ahead of him at number one in the European album chart.
Fiddy had threatened to quit music if his album Curtis failed to beat West's Graduation in the US chart when both albums were released on the same day.
But the 'Gold Digger' singer topped the charts in both America and the United Kingdom. Although shortly after 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - cancelled a promotional tour in Europe, he has announced new tour dates, insisting that he will not be quitting the music industry.
He beat West, who only manged to claim third spot in the European album chart, behind singer Manu Chao's album La Radiolina in second place.
