The Enemy have asked the Lord Mayor of Coventry whether he would like to join them for a curry.
Councillor Dave Batton has received an email from the 'Away From Here' rockers, asking if he fancied joining them for the meal.
Batton and fellow councillors are currently planning a civic reception for the band to celebrate their success in the charts.
The group hit the number one spot with their album We'll Live And Die In These Towns earlier in the year, and are the first band from Coventry to top the chart.
A spokesperson for Coventry City Council told IC Coventry: "We sent a formal invitation to The Enemy inviting them to a civic reception.
"At the same time the Lord Mayor received an email from The Enemy offering to take him for a curry! We haven't heard back about the reception yet but it would be great if we could arrange both."
The Lord Mayor added: "Hopefully I will get to meet them soon, although they are very busy, which is very good news."
