Brighton's The Kooks launched the Oxjam charity gigs last night with a set that included two covers.
The Naive rockers played at the Kingsland Road charity store yesterday, with ex-Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker performing a DJ set as a warm-up for the band.
The band treated fans to new material, hits from their Inside In / Inside Out album and covers of Bob Dylan's 'Tangled Up In Blue' and The Velvet Underground's 'Sweet Jane'.
Cocker performed an unusual set, which included Rolf Harris' 'War Canoe' and footballer Paul Gascoigne's hit single 'Fog On The Tyne'.
The next Oxjam gig features popstar Jamelia and will take place tonight.
