Led Zep ticket codes touted on eBay

Touts are selling access codes to buy tickets to Led Zeppelin's reunion gig on eBay - despite tough security measures.

Fans wanting to attend the London concert were asked to register for a lottery and those successful have now been given a pass code. It allows them to access a website to buy their £120 ticket.

Now several auctions have appeared on the website offering the codes for upwards of £500.

However, promoter Harvey Goldsmith, who previously warned fake tickets were being produced for the event, says anyone buying the codes will not get tickets.

He explained: "Every name that was selected at random has a code attached to it. Those people that were selected were given that pass code, they had to follow the instructions on how to pay for those tickets.

"Unless the pass code and the original name match up, those people who have bought those tickets on eBay or anywhere else will not be allowed in."

And, said Goldsmith, even if people get past this stage they will have to show identification when picking up tickets: "No tickets are being issued until the day before the show.

"You have to turn up with your ID and pass code to collect your ticket, unless all three pieces of information match, you will not be allowed into the concert and you certainly won't get a ticket."
