Radiohead refuse to reveal LP statistics

Radiohead have refused to reveal the sales statistics for their new album In Rainbows, which was launched online today.

The musicians have refrained from announcing the number of orders made to the public, since downloading began at 10 o'clock this morning.

Fans were told that they could 'name-a-price' for the album, from 1p up to £100. Meanwhile a special discbox version will go on sale for £40 in December.

The BBC claims it has not yet been decided how Radiohead's LP will be rated in the UK music charts without them revealing their sales figures.
