'Purple Rain' tops best soundtrack poll

Prince's Purple Rain has been named the best movie soundtrack of all time.
A poll of editors in Vanity Fair saw the '80s classic come out top ahead of Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction.
The editors claimed the soundtrack was a mixture of "funk, R'n'B, pop, metal, and even psychedelia" that managed to create "a sound that defined the '80s".
The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night was in second place, while Trainspotting also bagged a spot in the top ten.
